Golf in Thailand is incredibly popular and has proved to be a big
factor in the re-location of many ex-pats, retirees and tourists
who visit Thailand (particularly the Eastern seaboard).

the creation of many of the courses that feature here, amongst
which are Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Seve
Ballesteros, Greg Norman and Nick Faldo.The championship courses here are comparable with the very best in
the world and even the lesser known courses offer some fantastic
golf (they also offer a great opportunity to lose lots of balls!).
The courses are kept in mint condition throughout the year and are
a pleasure to play on, which is why so many people return here

Pattaya is located in Chonburi province and there at least 24
courses alone within a 45 minute drive of the seaside charms of
Pattaya and the eastern seaboard. Take a look at the golf map and
you will see the vast choice open to you. With so many courses to
choose from, you will find that it is easy to get a game and the
prices are generally a whole lot cheaper than what you are used to
in your own country. It is no exaggeration to claim that hardly
any other resort in the world can offer so many courses of such a
high standard at such reasonable prices all within such a small

Caddies
On all of the courses it is considered the norm to hire a caddy
car and also a caddy. For the princely sum of around 200 Baht, a
caddy will assist you in club selection, distances, searching for
your ball following a wayward tee shot (which is incredibly
useful), mark and clean your ball, carry your clubs and drive your
cart if you let them. All in all, leave all the work up to your
caddy and you can concentrate on a great game of golf. Also a
point to note is that the majority of caddies here tend to be
female and whilst they are always willing to greet you with a
smile, share a laugh and a giggle, guys should not get the wrong
impression.

You will find that in the ever-expanding residential sector, there
are many housing developments that are taking place on or near to
golf courses. Many golf enthusiasts from all over the world are
